Creating the wedding of your dreams with Melanie Benson Floral Design

Flowers have always been a big feature at Weddings. The groom wears a flower that appears in the bride’s bouquet. This stems from the medieval tradition of a knight wearing his lady's colors, as a declaration of his love. Additionally, each flower has its own meaning and can display a special message. Orange Blossom, for instance, signifies chastity, purity and loveliness, while a red rose means signifies passion.

Melanie Benson, of Melanie Benson Floral Design, understands this language & significance of flowers.   Read what she had to say about her passion for the petals:

“I just really like flowers. Even when I was a kid growing up in the San Francisco area I spent tons of time in the garden smelling flowers and eating them, which drove my mother crazy. Later I went to floral design school and interned with anyone and everyone who would take me. That was years ago and I am still learning from those I admire and still loving flowers. My special passion is weddings and although I am a floral designer, creating a total look for a wedding is what I most often do. Bainbridge Island is where my studio is located but I enjoy Seattle so let’s meet there for coffee and talk about your wedding.”

Succulent Savvy at Willows Lodge by Jennifer Taylor of Taylor'd Events by Jennifer

Willows Lodge is located on five landscaped acres beautifully landscaped to live in harmony with the environment bordering the Sammamish River in the heart of Western Washington’s wine country. It is a haven for comfortable while luxurious, warm and inviting, Northwest destination that Jennifer Taylor of Taylor'd Events by Jennifer emphasized upon during Weddings in Woodinville.  Her theme showcased the decor and spectacular gardens by making the most of multiple colors such as lavender, light green and copper which accented the woodland feel of the Lodge.   Succulents were integrated into every aspect of a wedding from bouquets to decor.

Here are a few highlights taken by Laura Marchbanks Photography of the event:

Northwest elegance and savvy was captured by Taylor'd Events by Jennifer and Grand Event Rentals for this picturesque walk down the isle.
