Creating beautiful custom wedding cakes & pastries since 1965, Hillcrest Bakery

The Kaskes family has been creating beautiful custom wedding cakes and pastries since they purchased Hillcrest Bakery in 1965.  Peter Kaskes Sr. learned the art of baking and cake artistry from his father growing up in the Kaskes Bakery in Holland.  Peter continued this tradition by teaching his own children the art of baking and cake artistry. His daughter Barbara is now creating the beautiful wedding cakes and pastries that we sell today.  Barbara is their Master Cake Decorator and has over 30 years of decorating experience. Their bakery has been featured in many magazines for wedding cakes as well as other baked goods.

They were recently honored with Seattle Business Magazines Small Family Business Award for 20011 in Washington State. They are proud of their baking heritage and love what they do.

They are always excited to create pastries or a distinctive wedding cake to match your individual style.

Hillcrest Bakery Wedding CakeHillcrest Bakery will be at JM Cellars during Weddings in Woodinville, January 29th, 2012.

Northwest Elegance and Dramatic Glistening Winter Decor at Russell's Barn by Stephanie Wilson of Every Last Detail

Russell's Barn truly highlighted the natural setting of their location and then exploded with Glam-tastic fantasy upstairs in The Loft!  Downstairs Stepanie Wilson of Every Last Detail, created an intimate and elegant northwest escape highlighting the rustic and cozy atmosphere of Russell's exposed wood beams. Different tones of ivory, bronze and plum served as the perfect palette for the Barn's inviting feel.

The Loft upstairs, with its dramatic and spacious architecture, beautifully accommodated the fantastic décor.  PJ Hummel and Co. created an unforgettable glistening winter fantasy, complete with glittering bare branch trees brilliantly lit to increase the overall "wow" factor.

Here are a few highlights taken by Stacey Denise Photography of the event:

Anna's Flowers helped create the elegant Northwest atmosphere shown at this beautifully set table.
